Nanzhila is the most southerly lodge in the Kafue National Park where the landscape is just fascinating.
Unfenced and deep in the bush, it takes guests right into the heart of nature, whilst offering a tranquil, intimate encounter with Zambia's finest wildlife.
The camp offers excellent opportunities to see the healthy populations of a number of antelope species, as well as all the major carnivores, with a particularly strong population of Wild Dog and Cheetah.
The birdlife is phenomenal throughout the year, and sightings can almost be guaranteed of the endemic Black-cheeked Lovebird, the Wattled Crane, Ground Hornbill and Saddle-billed Stork.

Built to make the most of the tranquil surroundings, the chalets blend discreetly into the undergrowth; they are spacious and private with large, comfortable beds protected by mosquito nets.
Guests are treated to views over their floodplain (the Nangandwe pool,) with its permanent waterhole, which attracts a regular flow of birds and plains game. Wake up each morning to the uninterrupted views across the grassy plain, with surrounding wildlife freely passing through

Whilst Nanzhila is a great place to unwind, there's also plenty to see and do. Morning, afternoon and night game drives can be enjoyed, as well as guided walks. The birding is incredible, especially given that the area is famed for it’s endemic Black Cheeked Love birds; there are opportunities for bush trails and full day excursions. Most importantly though, this is the “Nanzhila Experience” where guests choose to be as active or relaxed as they like.
